My name is Danaya, but I also go by Pie. I am a Java automation engineer based in Virginia, USA. With over 2 years of experience as a Java Full-Stack Automation Engineer and Quality Assurance Automation Developer, I have honed my skills in developing full-stack web applications using Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a specialization in back-end development. I also have expertise in automation testing, including end-to-end and front-end automation testing, where I have improved code efficiency and reduced runtime by 20% using Java, Python, and Selenium.
I approach every project with a proactive mindset and a love for solving complex problems. I am passionate about creating clean, efficient, and scalable code and am always excited to learn and experiment with new technologies.
My career path has been quite a rollercoaster ride, so let's start from the beginning. During high school, I took dual enrollment courses in Medical Science with a dream of working in the healthcare field. While pursuing my Associate's Degree, I also took courses to become a Certified Medical Assistant. After obtaining my certification, I worked at an OBGYN then in Allergy and Immunology offices. However, I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would. So, I pursued and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science, as I have always been intrigued and fascinated by forensic investigation and criminal cases.
During my senior year of college, COVID-19 pandemic occurred, my classes shifted to remote learning, my FBI's Firearms-Toolmarks internship was canceled, and my work hours were cut. This led me to explore a new career path in computer science. I started learning Python online, which opened the door to the world of software development. Software engineer career had everything I was looking for: solving problems, creating new things, and endless opportunities to learn and grow.
When I’m not coding, you will find me reading 📘, gardening 🌱, doing DIY projects 🛠, or playing video games 🎮. I have never owned a console, so it is PC for me! I also have a cat named Ashe 🐱, who is friendly, vocal 📢, and loves hiking 🥾.

Fortune Hangman is a dynamic multiplayer word/phrase-guessing game that challenges players to achieve the highest score across multiple rounds. The Command Line version offers a classic, text-based gameplay experience with a spinning wheel that introduces elements of chance, including points, bankruptcy, losing a turn, and spin tokens. The web-based User Interface version enhances the experience with a visually interactive design and will include the spinning wheel feature in future updates, providing a more engaging and immersive gameplay experience.
